If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).
Collections are a JPG+ feature. You must be a JPG+ member to create new collections and to add photos to collections.

I NEVER dreamed it would work! I have to admit I’ve been working on this invention a whole lot longer than I ever worked on any of the others. After all, it is a bit more complicated…..it’s TIME TRAVEL!! The entire time I was perfecting the lawn paint and the lawnblower, all the time I spent trying to fulfill the requests of my fellow JPG’er, all the while I was sewing the various costumes Jimmy and I wore, I was working on time travel. I thought if I could just perfect it in time for Saturday shot #52, what a coup that would be. And of course throughout the course of the year, I wondered how I would implement the invention, should I indeed succeed. I thought about scooping up everyone who attended last year’s Nutball Party and plopping them all down in the yard for a mid-year extravaganza. I was all set to push the ‘just do it’ button, when I realized it would be a logistical nightmare. What if people were busy, out of town, working, or heaven forbid—in the shower. Talk about the ultimate ‘come as you are’ party!! Then I considered the pick and choose method, but considering I have 885 contacts, there were bound to be hurt feelings. Or even worse, what if I chose someone who couldn’t care less about my Saturday shenanigans and only added me as a contact out of pity…..AWKWARD!! So I threw caution to the wind….the wind threw it back at me, then it hit me------I’ll get the guy who started it all! So I activated the GPS (ginormous peeping seeker), set my phasers on stun, smacked the swash button (aka ‘just do it’) and hoped for the best.
And look what materialized before my very eyes…..the one, the only, the original Oregon Curly and his lovely wife, Joyce! (a special thank you goes out to the BGA (Big Guy Above) for having them fully clothed and NOT in the shower!!)
I’m pleased to note that although they hadn’t fully materialized at the time of my shot, they filled out quite nicely within a few minutes, and we had a great reunion. I also must address a concern that I’m sure more than a few of you had…..you don’t see the actual machine used to facilitate the time travel. I don’t have the patent yet, and in this day and age, you can’t be too careful!
Oh, and one final note…..there was one slight glitch in the ‘return’ feature of my machine, and I am now accepting any and all donations toward the purchase of 2 one-way tickets to Oregon. OC and Joyce say they love it here, but they’re continually clicking their heels together and mumbling something that sounds a lot like ‘there’s no place like home’.
I hope everyone has enjoyed viewing and reading this series as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it! Thank you as always for your wonderful and often hilarious comments.
Thanks to Oregon Curly for the theme…same shot, same spot, every Saturday for a year.
