Umm Al-Aish Station:

established in 1969 it was the first land satellite communication station in the middle east. It consist of several huge satellite dishes.

During the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait between 1990 and 1991 the Iraqi forces destroyed the station and all its dishes. and now the Kuwait government decided to destroy all the dishes last 2009. and the history is gone forever
