A young mother and her baby girl, begging on the streets of New Delhi.

I was struck by the wise look on the girl's face. Her young life already full of trouble. Only a few moments later I noticed that her mother misses her left hand. Henri Cartier-Bresson always connected with his subjects, by communicating with them. Either with his words or with his eyes. I also learned from HBC's good friend and collegue Robert Capa that you should be close to ypur subject. He said: if your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough. These words from Capa are good to remember!
