Outside my mother's place in the Verde Valley in Arizona after a rainstorm one can see the sun breaking through, the sillouettes of the trees stand watching and waiting for the sun to warm them. One can see the snowcovered mountians in the not to terribly distant background, the snow rapidly melting with the comming spring, within a few weeks the snow would have mostly vanished.

You've captured something that combines the 2 worlds of grayscale and colour--the slight tinge of orange beaming from the sun draws the eye, along with the softly-majestic rays. My sister lives in Apache Junction, and the area offers something very different from the Eastern part of the US.
