I was invited to my flat mate’s wedding the other day. Since the bride is from Shaanxi, China, they have a certain tradition that they want to follow.

Coming from a traditional Chinese family but living in another country, I thought the engagement customs back home were already too traditional, but this is even more traditional!

We even had a procession on the street where we walked 1.5km to the reception, with dancing tigers, kung-fu, Chinese band and all that lively stuff!

This was a shot of the bride while she was preparing for the wedding. She had to wear this beautiful blue and red headdress.
