This was taken in 1971, and though my beloved mother is no longer with us, she will remain in my memory as the single, most influential force in my life.
She instilled values and morals in her own quiet way, refereed family disputes and became the kind of grandmother all the greeting cards epitomize.
She was happiest when the family was together and provided the home that was our refuge from worldly problems.
I still miss you Mom!
