A male breasted rose Grosbeak
Rested taking a break...
As he got a grip
On the situation...
Waiting to be revived,
O'er this end
Of the migration;
While his female friend
Had a bite to eat
After their long trip.
How well they survived
Their travels earthly,
Paving life's journey...

The male and female rose breasted Grosbeaks breed in cool-temperate North America, migrating to tropical America in winter. They are back now eating seeds from our feeder.
I caught the male patiently waiting on the branch for his mate to get done eating:)

He is so beautiful! Great capture, Andrea! For the first time, this year we saw a female, but I didn't get to photograph her. She ate at our feeders for a couple of days. She must have been migrating North.
