Last February my mom and I remodeled the dining room. Liquid fabric softener in a steam machine to take down 100 year old wallpaper...NOT FUN! But we did most of it all my outselves, even puttied up the walls and painted. I had to hurry to take this photo because my mom was just about the put the furniture back in place. To me, it's one of those photos that I didn't spend much time on the photo, but I think the colors and the composition all work very nicely.

If you're wondering, I stuck a curved needle into the top of the apple. Next I strung a thin piece of thread through the eye of the needle, tied a tight knot, and weaved the free end of the thread in one hole in a vent in the ceiling and out another hole, and tied another knot. Then I used Picasa to discard of the thread's appearance. I know JPG may not approve of the post-editing process that I practiced here, but every now and again, I like to believe that the end justifies the means.
