Taken on Coney Island July 4th of this past year. I was personally amazed by the amount of garbage cans littering the beach, and the amount of garbage that was strewn everywhere, not even made into the baskets. It made a big impression on me. Here my sister sits looking out over the beach and this photograph is a symbol to me of the condition of the world that is being left to the younger generations. Here we are supposed to be celebrating the independence of our country and instead it feels more like doomsday.

i agree. . . with so many trashcans you'd think people would at least try. . . why do so many people think the ground is a trashcan???
