If you love an image (whether it's yours or someone else's) and want to make sure others get a chance to see it, you can “feature” it by choosing the “Spotlight” button.
When an image is Spotlighted, it receives enhanced visibility in premium spots throughout the site. Spotlighted images are rotated through these higher-visibility positions to ensure the best opportunity for the images to be seen by JPG users.
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

This photograph was taken on the 2nd floor looking East. It is a full shot of the previous post 'Broken window' This view shows the old and overgrown parking lot across the street and a roas going North to South and vice versa. if one looks closely one can see a few cars on the road as well as the more easily spotted collection of pipes stored within the confines of the fenced in parking lot/ storage area. The area surrounding this old building was somewhat abandoned as well and generaly rund down and dirty. Except for the business to the East, there was not much activity going on on a daily basis. I like how the section of glassless window ws partialy open and the middle section bent and torn away, perhaps due to a vandal or thugs in some drug or hatefull throe of passion, perhaps bough on by a lack of self respect leading to a lack of general respect twards all else. Perhaps a sense of flustration also played a part in this damage.
