I am deeply disappointed and discouraged by what type of photos are allowed to be uploaded here. There are plenty of websites that are focused on this type of "art", JPG should not be one of them.
It is disheartening to see all these photos that have been popping up on my page. I have not asked to see them. There is no age limit for JPG members and feel some form of restriction should be installed for the underage members and for those that choose not to be exposed to these type of images.
The strength of this site is that it allows all types of photographers to express themselves. I understand freedom of speech, but this is not a form of freedom of speech, this is an aggressive and blatant disregard of what is appropriate.
JPG has affected me in so many positive ways. It breaks my heart that this site is turning into a site that I'm having difficulty respecting and being inspired by.

Agree with you comment. 1x (one exposure) at least covers the nudes and they don't pop on your page

Excellent capture, and caption. I agree completely. :(

Touchy subject---There should be a seperate section to enter for nudity of any kind. Fair, and still available to those 18 and older.

Thank you everyone for your feedback, glad to see so many on the same page.
Yes James, I have to agree with you. There has to be a solution. Nude photos can be used as a tool in a positive way to express one's art, but these latest photos misses the mark of what is tasteful quite a bit. -

These are my feeling exactly......... I'm am saddened that JPG is allowing such "filth" to be uploaded.........I have suggested to JPG to just get rid of the "spotlight" feature... this is where the major problem is.... this feature allows this "scum" to force us all to see his so called "art". Not really sure why JPG is not listening.... Oh, I love this shot btw.... it's in San Antonio, right.... next to the Alamo... I have a photo of this same walkway, only from the other end :~)

I really hope JPG continues being a family oriented place that it advertises to be and responds in a way where all parties are satisfied.
I can see how frustrating this subject can be but name calling is not going to help. What this particular member deems as art is not what this site advertises as. He's uploading his images in the wrong site. It is saddening Maurie, I appreciate you taking the time and leaving your comments. I just hope that JPG reads all these protests and responds correctly. And yes it is indeed San Antonio. :) Thank you again. :) -

we all know what is art and what is porn, no high school degree required in order to understand that, JPG knows too, and yet they did nothing....
im not mad, just sad. -

Jonathan Bratter said (20 May 2010):
First of all-great shot above. Secondly, completely agree with your comments. There is a difference between art and some of what is showing up here. There are some really beautiful and tasteful nudes that I've seen on the site, and many others that are downright offensive. It would be nice to be able to filter some of these out. Hope you keep posting though, enjoy your work.

fantastic shot. i agree. i just came back from a ''retirement'' and now this question pops out. anyway, like John Linton says, hope you stay, as well as all the friends here in JPGMag, since is because of them i return daily to this site. and its also from them i get to learn about this art. again: fantastic shot.

Seriously. What the hell happened here? I disappear for a few weeks and return to these borderline porn shots. I don't mind a few artistic nude photos but let's keep 'em tasteful people...Great shot by the way.

The photo is fantastic. The tonal range is beautiful and IMO the decision to use black and white was an excellent one. Great work S! Your talent shines through as well as your moxy! One note: As a photographer that has ventured into tasteful nude photographic studies, I agree with you. The inappropriate images are unwanted here and I hope JPG hears your words loud and clear. Peace!

I really love your photograph Sumna! your composition and use of B&W are excellent!
I do agree with some of the more tasteful nude portraits found here on JPG, but they certianly need to keep the more offensive porn-style off!
Thank goodness for the safe filter JPG has made, as my 11 year son used to enjoy my JPG page and that of my contacts. -
