If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

Upon a recent excursion to a very large cemetary in Omaha Nebraska, I ventured down a steep incline where old stones were kept as well as various objects and trash, a dump...I was looking around for a location to shoot Sidd the Travelin Buddha, when I noticed a few snails on a large stone. I didnt think they were alive , but being careful I nudged this little fellow a bit, an lo and behold he was indeed alive and attached. Having just gotten a new camera (Olympus fe 4030) for my birthday a few days previous, I decided to test out its macro option. It is a relatively inexpensive camera and its capabilities do not equal a slr or anyother expensive model, but it takes good photos. I tested it out on this snail and this is the best shot.
