Alderman Ginger Rugai in Chicago, has proposed an ordinance that would ban Chicagoans from owning pit bulls. Heck, the ordinance would make it illegal for Chicagoans even to carry someone else's pit bull inside city limits. (By "pit bulls" the ordinance actually means three different breeds, namely American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and Staffordshire Bull Terriers.)

By the looks of this "pit bull" people would agree with that proposed ordinance. If you will take a look (please) at some pics of my "pit bulls", the percentage in agreeance would be much less. The blonde one is pure bred American Staff and the brownie is a mix.

thats just so sad. these dogs are one of the best human to animal companions there are. its what people do to them that makes them aggressive and it's a terrible and wrong stigma attached to them.

Ignorance is bliss...the public believes the HSU and AC propaganda on how dangerous these dogs are supposed to be and everyone jumps on the bandwagon to ban them. I've owned "pit bulls" since the 80's and they are the greatest most human friendly dogs out there( properly breed and raised ones anyway) It's a shame, it really is... Great shot BTW

i think the owner was more dangerous. animals are good. humans are evil

Poor dog. So, so sad. It isn't the breed that is necessarily dangeous but the owners! Tarjei, I agree with you 100%. And it isn't the dog that looks menacing, but all the hardware that is on the poor guy. Some people should not have the privilege of being animal owners. These fools who want pit bulls just because of their "bad" reputation just to up their own man factor.
We have a pit bull/Rhodesian ridgeback mix and she is a sweetheart. She is very loved and well-treated so the odds of her being vicious or dangerous are pretty much non-existent. -
