I shot this in October of 2005 at a Draft Horse Show where farm machinery also was on display in a corn field..
The men in the group having a conversation about farming caught my eye..The man standing apart from the social circle looked like he was lost in deep thought...
They all had something in common...They loved the land and expressed it in their own individual way....
Love of the land
Is conversed thru' the men
Dispersed in conversation;
Versed by the lone man,
And expressed within
His contemplation.

Excellent entry, my friend. So much to love about this image, including the colors and textures of the land and farm equipment, as well the gathering of the men. Really love the thougtful expression of the farmer separate from the other three. For sure my vote.

I have to say that I really feel that most Americans have forgotten about the land, expect for where there a views. The land that one resides on is precious. I personally have been given the gift of 10 acres on sacred land and It may be a small little piece of earth, but it will be forever what it is today. Outstanding in every way!
