I like to go to at least 2 sci-fi or anime conventions each year. It's a ton of fun walking around in different cosplays and taking pictures of everyone else. Some of the costumes are actually quite amazing and it's interesting to see how some are constructed. Also a lot of fun to be around other really nerdy people. :D
I don't know why but there are at least 10 Harley Quinns at each convention.
