I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me...Psalms 23: 4
My older sister who just retired from her music teaching job gave me her musical staff T shirt that I am wearing on this self portrait, when she stopped over night to see us Wednesday on her way through to visit our mother. When moving to her house from her apartment where she stayed while she was teaching my sister got rid of a lot of stuff...

I am posing next to the only Siberian Iris that is blooming at the moment. The Day Lilies almost ready to bloom are crowding the rest of the Irises out...I look like I am kneeling in a jungle ...everything is so green from the constant rain we've been having....(I half expected to see a Siberian Tiger come out the bushes:)....We used to have some Tiger Lilies growing... (fortunately not growling) but the Day Lilies crowded them out too...

Donald, I wonder if the Japanese & Siberian Irises are similar....My husband's mother gave us some Siberian Iris bulbs from her garden before she passed away. Richard, thank you for noticing the flower in my hair...When I looked at this SP my first thought was that I need to add color to my hair as my roots are showing:) Thanks for the comments.

Thank you everyone for your comments...Betty, my husband tells me that

is a Siberian Iris...His mother ordered them through a seed catalog and she had the most beautiful flower garden I ever saw..She passed away in 1990 but whenever I think of her I remember her green thumb...
