It is only a short distance to the Rainbow River. I often visit there to enjoy the views and the birds that live there. It is a wonderful place for kayaking and tubing. The water is crystal clear, and you can see fish and turtles, and the occasional gator. The Rainbow River headwaters are in Rainbow River State Park, and it flows to the Withlacoochee River. I have met with 3 JPG members and have taken each of them to this place.
