Concrete Batch Plant
Concrete is the most common building material on earth and it's environment-friendly nature continues to expand its use. Every time you step on a sidewalk, cross a bridge or drive on a road you interact with concrete.
The photograph is of a concrete batching plant; a piece of heavy construction equipment that very accurately mixes together the ingredients that make up concrete: cement, sand, rock and water.
Even though concrete can be mixed by hand in a wheelbarrow, without concrete batch plants we would not be able to construct the roads, buildings and dams that we use in our everyday lives.
