Sidd the Travelin Buddha is shown here on some steps going down to the river from Fort Atkinson.
A passage from the Dhammapada (Words of Wisdom) tell us that, The most excellent ascetic practice is parience and forebearance. 'Nibbana (Nirvana) is supreme', say the Buddhas. He indeed is no recluse who harms another; nor is he an ascetic who hurts others. An Ascetic is one who is engaged in practicing strict self-denial as a measure of personal and especially spiritual discipline. Patiene is much needed and unheard of these days, nothing worth working for and striving for will just happen, patience also builds discipline. .which is paramount in reaching a goal.

Judy and Wayne Wanamaker gave props (16 Jun 2010):

In this age of immediate gratification, patience has long been forgotten by most. That fact is at the root of so many of our social and financial problems. A great shot of Sid in his peaceful and beautiful surroundings.
