On the way home from work....traffic backed up, and only inching forward.....so out comes the camera....and shooting wide angle, and down...
Looks very urban to me!!

Actually I was the driver... remember we were only inching along..... not sure I could have gotten the same kind of shot from the passenger side.

A civil engineer's dream, cuz. I cannot imagine building this overpass next to that ancient building. Amazing juxtaposition, wonderful shot. Near the James River?

Yes from where I was sitting/direction truck was in...to my right. That clock tower does seem out of place with all the over passes so near! It is truly a beautiful building.... but almost no way to photograph it without all the urban development, to me that is truly sad!!

Urban definitely describes this fabulous shot! Your composition is wonderful. There is so much going on; and there is the contrast between the old building and the modern roadways. I am just glad they didn't tear down the building to make way for road building. Fantastic entry, Betty! voted.

That clock tower building is so beautiful and ornate. A train station at one time? Let's hope it outlasts all the overpasses and one day reassumes its rightful place.

Yes it was a station at one time. I think they still stop there a few times.... although I can't imagine why they would.. not for passengers for sure.

I voted YES, but I wish the top of the building wasn't cut off, and I'd like to see a less washed out look -- an ND filter would help in that bright sun. There are some amazing pictures of that building if you google images for "richmond train station." And Betty, compliments for going back and getting a good picture of it yourself!!
