Hold fast the form of sound words ...2 Timothy 1-13

My husband and I each have a Scrabble dictionary and believe me, we make use of them...I got my socks beat off big time tonight..

Dorsey, the genius, got a score of 355 and mine was 311... I kept drawing many vowels with few consonants throughout the game ...Excuses...excuses!!! I love to compete and you just wait... I am going to win tomorrow night...Famous last words.

I will show the tile board on my next upload with the winning scores...

Here is Dhanny's link to her photo of game players in a park that
got me inspired to do a series of scrabble games for a week.

Nice! my wife and her mother used to compete with each other viciously at scrabble, they laugh and ridicule me with my feeble attempts to play this game. They'd say gee if you would have played here you would have gotten triple score :-( ... I don't scrabble anymore.

DP...I am sorry that you don't scrabble anymore ...For me scrabble is a

relaxing game and I enjoy it...but not everyone likes the slow pace of the

game or the concentration it takes to find the right words. It has helped me immensely to use the scrabble dictionary to look up words to fit.

Scrabble has become somewhat of a tradition for our after-Christmas relaxations. Even now we sometimes play a spirited game with our friends from Wisconsin.

Do you use the dictionary during the game? I thought that was only acceptable for challenges. Hmmm.....maybe I'll break out the board again, except my husband refuses to play with me!! LOL I really like this series, Andrea!

Susan and Eithne yes, we do use the dictionary during the game as long as it is acceptable and agreeable with the players ...We also use the two letter word sheet available now with new scrabble board games where you can use words like Qi, Za, etc. The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (We have the fourth Edition) gives you lots of new words ..

Another excellent photo of you and Dorsey studying for your Scrabble game : ). I used to play online with a woman, we agreed that we could both use dictionaries during our turn. I like that, you can learn new words and the game will not get stale.

What a fun, relaxing game for the two of you to play together!
