Q: I am really into my wildlife photography but cannot afford a super zoom lens, I have a 300mm and am considering a teleconvertor. Has anybody had a experience with these and would you recommend them?

A: Do you know?

My wife and I went for a drive one Sunday up into the backlands surrounding the Alicante area - much of this reagion is mountainous and after about 2 hours we came around a bend and were presented with this view. So Camera in hand I set to work from a few different angles and eventually got this shot. The stream is pure spring water that rises up through the chalk beds of the rocks (hence the clarity of the water) and clearly the swimmers are enjoying it. Taken on my trusty old EOS 300D with a 75-110 lens.
