A: Do you know?

Everywhere you look these days developers are cutting down our trees and replacing them with housing of all kinds, forever changing the way we see our land.

This new subdivision's bulldozer is currently in the process of killing my lovely view of this center tree which is nicely perched high above and between two other houses on my street, destroying a really nice view from my home's front window in beautiful Sooke, B.C. Canada.

We need to speak out in large numbers to help stop old growth forests and surrounding areas from being forever destroyed for the sake of new business and housing.

Oh how I hate to see that! Urban crawl is everywhere, ruining the beauty of the land. Great capture for the theme. Voted.

    Thankyou both.

And yes Susan, it is sad...fewer green trees means more money to line home builder's pockets.

I took more shots, both before and after this work started, so far the "one" tree is still standing. If it goes, it will be greatly missed-the best view from my front window.

Thankyou everyone, loosing trees to build more houses is not something I greatly support. I'd have to move to find a nicer view and then what, possibly yet another subdivision? "Winds of Change"
