The All Russia Exhibition Center was built by Stalin as the USSR’s alternative to the World’s Fair. Large scale buildings strategically placed throughout the immense grounds represented each of the former USSR states. Today, it is a bizarre mix of old and new worlds: soviet style architecture and symbols are merged together with western icons in an eerie shopping center / amusement park complex.
