Ask now the beasts and they shall teach thee and the birds
of the air, and they shall tell thee...Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee...The hand of the Lord hath wrought this... in whose hand
is the soul of every living thing and the breath of all mankind...
Job 12:7-8-9-10
------------------------------------------
This is my second version of my hand with the day lily. I combined
two pictures together as a diptych. I shot the picture of the female cardinal through the screen on our window early this evening and my hand with the day lily was shot on the edge of our woods with a self timer this morning.
Nature is filled with color and I couldn't help but think when God created heaven and earth He painted life as He saw it and the earth was His canvas...maybe someday we will see paradise in the same way where the birds will not hesitate to inspect the flowers in our hands and will come to us without fear.
--------------------------------
In my imagination
It is not hard at all
For me
To understand,
(Tho' to some
it may seem silly)
Why the cardinal
Might like to see
The Day Lily
in my hand..

Thank you Winky for the spotlight...I so appreciate your kind deed...

Thanks to all for your very kind words...Richard, thank you for saying that no one would have guessed this was a diptych...Since I am an honest person I tried to make it look as real as I could considering it is meant to be a visualization of what I would imagine paradise to be like...I would hope in the great beyond that the birds and humans could have this type of interaction with each other.
