For years I tried to get a clematis vine to love my earth and climb a trellis. After spending tons of money and planting them in different spots I finally came to the conclusion that clematis just doesn't want to grow in my soil and they don't want to tell me why! I should enlarge this photo and tape it to a trellis!

Ooooh....I feel so guilty! I just spent several hours the other day hacking away at mine because it had taken over the trellis and was climbing up the deck! You probably didn't need to know that!! But Michael's right......fantastic shot, beautiful color!!

I'm laughing over a mental image of you taping an enlargement of this gorgeous shot to the trellis.

Oh Dear Karen what a wonderful way to show your imaginary clematis, maybe one day you will be as successful with the plant as you are with this wonderful capture my friend.

Goegeous.... and they are persnickty..... they like thier heads in the sun, and thier feet in the shade, and you get your new growth from all the "stick" looking stuff left over from the previous year! Hope that helps!

The Clematis vines are beautiful and I hope some day we can get one started also...I have heard they are very difficult to grow.
