Nuristan, Afghanistan, December, 2006. A local child looks out from inside the remains of a Soviet armored personnel carrier. The burnt out remains of old Soviet vehicles litter the Afghan countryside.

when you move into civilian life are you going to pursue a career in photojournalism? this is amazing stuff and you seem to have a knack for seeing the humanity in such inhumane circumstances. your body of work is very moving.
