I think its very cool in just touching the emotive limits of tension, horror and suspense. I feel it but I think it's the prelude to the impactual drama.
The latent light and the black space add to the dramatic theatrical context of the image excellently as does the noise/patina. Her pose and stare the incitement of suspense that previews the unknown. -
