Machrie Moor features 6 stone circles dating back to approximately 2000 BC, set in the middle of peat bogs. There are very few visitors, you can tune in to the stones surrounded by silence, a wonderful landscape, and of course sheep. For more information about this special place CLICK HERE.
I became fascinated with pre-historic Celtic sites in 2002 when I had the opportunity to visit STONEHENGE (my photo here) and AVEBURY (story and photos here).
