Clay-colored Sparrow. This lovely sparrow meanders through our rose bushes seeking insects and berries from the honeysuckle. At first I thought it was a house wren warning me to stay away with a buzzing sound, but the song of this sparrow is in fact a repetitive buzz.
Family: Emberizidae
Species: Spizella pallida
Size: L - 5 1/2 inches
