Lolo Marsi is 76 years old and has been taking photographs since he was in high school. His passion for photography drove him to learn more and improve on his craft.
As a photojournalist, he has been in different places covering events for local newspapers. He then went on as a wedding photographer and was able to put his children through college because of his unwavering zeal in taking photos.
I now came across him on a Saturday afternoon in Malate Church waiting for a baptism ceremony that he will be covering.
As I was about to enter the church, Lolo Marsi saw the camera hanging on my neck and gave me a warm smile. I stopped and chat with him about photography and how it continues to change.
As i was talking to Lolo Marsi, it occurred to me that despite all the change that photography has undergone, one thing will surely stay: the innate love and passion of a photographer to capture inspiring moments.
Thank you, Lolo Marsi.
