This perspective represents one of the oldest forms of transportation still in use in the 21st century. This image exemplifies how our past can coexist with the present. This photograph shows the essence of the South Shore Life, a trolley line built to steam railroad specifications that evolved into a full fledged commuter railroad. (The freight service that was once part of this railroad is now operated by a separate company.)
