they spoke the invented language, slowly at first, feeling the words individually and choosing the progressions effortlessly, like seasoned musicians feeling their way through a new yet infinitely familiar piece. skin and hair and silk quivered and flowed like rivers across a gentle landscape, which when viewed from above approximated a human nervous system, with the recently birthed neurons awakening to fire their salutes.
