A: Do you know?

This cat visits our yard quite often and is partially responsible for the smaller squirrel population the past few weeks. I esp. appreciate its efforts since I am NOT a cat person.

Sheesh, Don! Here's this poor little innocent creature doing you a favor, and you don't even like him? Loosen up a minute....I'm sure if you REALLY try you'll learn to love this little squirrel chasing furball. He is very handsome!! Now you go pet him and give him a little catnip mouse. :)))))

Keep an eye out, Donald as cats love birds also in their diets...I'll never forget an incident several years ago of seeing a stray cat (who decided to live at our place...and was well fed with meat scraps from the grocery store where my husband was a meat cutter)... jump on our feeder and snatch a beautiful red papa cardinal in its mouth ... I felt sick for days...Needless, to say we didn't keep the cat after that as it was killing too many birds...Apparently it acquired a taste for birds when it was a stray cat and we couldn't break it of that habit.

How could you not love that face? And it chases away the squirrels. However, I am not a cat person anymore, I was at one time. Now I do not like them in my yard, like Andrea said, they are killing my birds so I shoo them off every time that I see them.

You can't help but notice how pretty that cat is even if you don't care much for them. I am more fond of squirrells and birds though. LOL. Great capture Donald.

People who are not "cat people" are missing out on a lot of affection and pleasure. That having been said however, they need to be confined to a house and should not be left to stray, as they WILL prey on birds and small mammals. It's called survival of the species.

Not really a cat person either.... I'm with Nancy and Andrea here though they WILL attack your birds...my neighbor has several cats and she told me that had she not witnessed for herself, she never would have believed that they could catch a hummingbird. Yep, jumped straight up and grabbed it from the feeder :~( keep an eye on this one!! Great shot of him :~)

As a cat person, I have to love such a beautiful critter! Wish she were mine... we've got voles in the yard that would make a tasty treat!

He is a pretty cat. The only problem is that he loves birds too. Our quail went missing about a week ago, and a cat appeared in the yard a day or 2 later. I prefer to think the quail went looking for a mate. Anyway, this is a very nice shot of your squirrel catcher.
