Returning from a road trip to Switzerland, I captured this image from within our car. Ancient Rome first hauled marble from these mountains. Many sculptures of the Renaissance, such as Michelangelo’s David, were carved from Carrara marble. Marble is still mined from these impressive peaks.
It was raining when I snapped this shot. These two were in a rush to get to where they were going.
