Returning from a road trip to Switzerland, I captured this image from within our car. Ancient Rome first hauled marble from these mountains. Many sculptures of the Renaissance, such as Michelangeloâ€™s David, were carved from Carrara marble. Marble is still mined from these impressive peaks.
It was raining when I snapped this shot. These two were in a rush to get to where they were going.
