Last summer's forest fires in Greece were largely started by human stupidity. They had a lot of ash fall into the Mediterranean. Some days after the pollution reached a peak, loads of tiny grey fish were washed ashore. My theory is they'd gotten it all wrong with those chips of charcoal drifting on the water.
