I took my camera out this morning while I was watering the plants and clicked this guy's picture over and over. He paid me no mind, since he was deeply involved in the hyssop. I also noticed the sunny spot on top of his head and the reflection of sun on his wings.

The wings look iridescent and I'll bet they are reflecting some of the color off from the flowers...Very nice capture.

So crisp and clear. How close did you have to get to this? Dangerous work. That's why I mostly have macro shots of butterflies.
