Q: What is the difference between macro lense and macro extension tube

A: Do you know?

I took my camera out this morning while I was watering the plants and clicked this guy's picture over and over. He paid me no mind, since he was deeply involved in the hyssop. I also noticed the sunny spot on top of his head and the reflection of sun on his wings.

This is really awesome, Don!! The colors and detail of the bee are perfect. Uh, Dave wants to know if the bee is going bald, or is that spot just a speck of sunshine? LOLOL Magnificant capture!!!

Oh Wow! Don this is fantastic!! His gossamer wings reflect the glorious day you're having. Bees are the best kind of insects. And this is a great angle!

The wings look iridescent and I'll bet they are reflecting some of the color off from the flowers...Very nice capture.

So crisp and clear. How close did you have to get to this? Dangerous work. That's why I mostly have macro shots of butterflies.
