Awesome project? History in the making? Report in!

One of the great things about being a daddy's girl is that I get to go to car shows. He also taught me to change my oil, brakes, and filters. I have helped pull motors, transmissions, and rear ends. Daddy can't hold out to do this stuff anymore but I treasure each and every time we got greasy together. I love the older cars. They were easy to work on and had so much more style and class than the new boxes they sell now. I captured this Chevy at a car show on our way to the races.

Love the POV on this. If I could, I would work on custom cars all day, every day for the rest of my life (well, that and photography). I agree with what you say about working on cars, to work on the new ones you need a degree from MIT. Working on my VW's is so much easier!!

A Joe Schaf moment!! Fabulous capture, Regenia. My dad used to drive stock cars for fun 'back in the day', so I used to hang around cars and drivers all the time.....such memories!!

My first car was a '56 Chevy Bel Air. Drove it into the ground. Bought a '57 Chevy Bel Air Conv in '87 and showed it for nine years. Such vintage machines, full of character. This is a wonderful shot. I think the paint is "larkspur blue."

Is there no end to King Richards knowledge?.......this is a sweet ride indeed, and a sweet shot as well.....i had a buddy in high school that had a 57 ...thats when they made cars out of metal...and not all this heavy metyals etc from China......Love the colors in this image...
