Tannin from a nearby swamp courses through a creek that crosses Grayton Beach, and flows into the Gulf of Mexico. There had been a lot of rain, causing the swamp water to flood and run off.

Well done, Judy! I remember seeing that tannin-stained water several places in NW FLA and ALA. A casual glance would make one think it was a rusted surface.
