The Standoff. This was an awkward moment for the wasp, who unfortunately, chased the little 'Hummer' away!

The quickness and agility of the hummingbird were the same qualities the photographer had to possess. One second earlier or later and this magical moment would have been missed. The hummer is frenzied; the wasp is holding its ground. Motion and stillness perfectly recorded in one photo. Although this hummer lost its battle, it was captured in a moment of complete dominance and kudos to the person who snapped at just the right time.
