My wife and I recently traveled to Peru for to see the legendary Incan ruins of Machu Picchu. It was a breathtaking site. We decided to hike to the top of Wayna Picchu, some nearby ruins even higher than Machu Picchu. The hike was very strenuous and at times scary. The path was narrow and moist. If you were to loose your balance on the trail and fall you would not stop until you were hundreds of feet below, in middle of the raging Urubamba River. Once we safely reached the top we knew it was worth it. The view was spectacular! Now the only problem was getting back down.
