Q: My sister in-law recently gave me a Canon EOS 10D digital camera body. Having only used point and shoot cameras, what would be a good beginners lens to get for this camera? Should I get kit lens to start with?

All main elements were shot on-location. The bottle is suspended with fishing line from the ceiling. The cat was not shot at the same time as the model, but shot with the exact same studio setup later that afternoon, then blended together. The background was added digitally.
