I never thought, has the graffiti, litter and homeless drunks been photoshopped out ? if not then deff cleaner than when I lived in Tottenham

Charlie, thanks for the comments. No, nothing's been photoshopped out. I think this is one of the lesser used stairwells and it looks like it was recently replastered which probably makes it look quite clean. As horrendous as the Tube is, they do a pretty good job of keeping it litter and graffiti free. Drunks is a perennial issue - although I think it's generally office workers rather than the homeless who are the problem. Last week, getting a late Friday night tube home, two (well-dressed, middle class) people in my carriage puked violently and repeatedly over the carriage. The homeless and the insane seem to frequent London's bus network more than the Tube. There's a bus I used to take in South London whose route also took in several mental hospitals. That was never a dull journey.
