Living in the trenches

As a friend and I were trying to get into an abandoned building in San Francisco's China Basin-by entering a hole in the fence near some wild bushes-we stumbled upon these three homeless guys (actually not really homeless).
The guy in the front and his 2 friends were Vietnam veterans. They were living in this narrow area hidden from society. Everything was set up for living as if they had been there for months. They were very friendly and we asked them if we could snap a few shots and they agreed. They told us there was no way in to the building so we ended up going home with shots we never expected to get.
