My father was proud of his grandchildren, and they loved him. We felt his presence throughout the long weekend. He loved Maine.
L to R: James, 30, Alex, 27, Lizzie, 31, Katherine, 33, Matt, 16. The guys are my nephews; the ladies are my daughters.
Matt just qualified for Eagle Scout. Dad was an Eagle, and I have his sash. I am going to give it to Matt.

What a beautiful family you have, Richard. Not a doubt your father's spirit was with you, and I'm sure he walked down the aisle too with his granddaughter.....never missing a step. They look like very honorable and ethical young people.....what a gift they are! I must admit "Daddy's Little Girl" is one of my favorite songs. My precious father sang me to sleep to that song many, many night!! It is the young adults who have been raised with such stable parents and grandparents of high values and a sense of what is truly important who will fix our broken country!!
