After you choke down the chicken nuggets and the apple slices, it's time to play with the toy....which is what we really came for.

Grandma, you know what little boys like and you are really tuned in on their wave length! Well done

So cute. I heard that at least one state is proposing legislation to outlaw the toys that come with Happy Meals! :(

It will be sad when McD's discontinues including toys in their happy meals. They have been a part of childhood for Americans for several decades. It is a shame that those who think they should butt into everyone else's lives under the pretenses of "saving" them, don't have enough just to keep their own lives straight. If they truly looked at their own lives, I am sure they would be too embarrassed to interfere with others.

I wish they would put toys in meals that were healthy! A great capture of your grandson enjoying his prize!

The "nanny" state is coming. We are losing our freedom every day . . . Is November here yet?

Our grandkids have never eaten McDonalds so am glad that the toy thing hasn't ever been an issue. Our children made a conscious decision decades ago, never to eat McD's, and it's one less thing on the grandkids' radar. I agree with Susan! But look at the eyes on the toy above...he's so happy.....love the image of the little boy with his toy.

Knowing that the Happy Meal is generally unhealthy, the grandchildren are taken there only for a special treat. We also give them cookies or ice cream occasionally. They realize it is a treat, and appreciate it as such. The toys are the best part of the treat, and I hate the thought that our overly intrusive government is going to take away our right to decide whether and when it is appropriate to take our grandchildren for such a treat. Like, Dick, I can't wait for November.

Neat shot and a unique spin on the theme...We just went to McDonald's on Saturday....I especially love their roasted blend coffee...My husband and I don't eat hamburger anymore but I do love their McChicken combo special which you can't beat the price on.and it doesn't taste greasy ...I also love their side salads which are very healthy...with a choice of Paul Neuman's low fat salad dressings....

I like their coffee too, Andrea! Their salads are fresh and delicious too. Even though I don't eat much bread, I enjoy the contents of the grilled chicken sandwich. I am glad the kids can choose apple slices instead of fries, and milk instead of soft drinks.
