For lo, He that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is His thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, the Lord, the God of hosts, is His name.

Amos 4: 13

-------------------------------

How the wind prances
And skips around
Bending branches,
High off the ground;
When a limb breaks
The earth quakes.

Laughing with glee,
The wind will blow
Our Weeping willow,
Sweeping the top
Of the magnificent tree
Making its final stop
To the earth below.

Poetry by me AJP

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This tree is over 100 years old and it has been through many wind storms..
It is gigantic and you have to strain your neck to see the top of it. A few years
ago one of the big limbs broke off (which you can see in my previous picture
that I shot yesterday.) Ironically, we had just been standing underneath it two
days before the limb broke, visiting with relatives who were remarking on the
size of this tree ...How quickly life could have taken a different turn in the timing and how quickly it can be blown away.

excellent capture, my all time favorite tree, for the graceful leaves, how it swing and flows with the wind, and just as elegant when its just being still.
