ROUTE 66 – HARD TIMES (#2) [For Loree McComb]
If you see a great photo that would make a perfect entry for one of our Shoot Out photo contests but it was uploaded by another user, now you can enter that photo in the contest and, if it wins, you get to share in the contest winnings.
Like a photo editor, if you've got an eye for great work, find it and submit it to a contest. If it wins, since you staked the entry fee, you'll take home part of the prize (the rest, of course, goes to the member who shot the image).

[One block removed from U.S. Highway 66, in Oatman, Arizona]
Please see the previous upload for background.
The Oatman hillside was so reminiscent of the slums ("favelas") I saw in Rio de Janeiro, when I was growing up there in the mid-50s.
A thin line separates prosperity and poverty.
[I am in the Rocky Mountain West for the rest of October, and I will not have Internet every day. But, I will catch up with all of your photos eventually! Thanks.]
