I walked to Bushy Park (one of London’s Royal Parks) in the hope of getting close to a rutting stag. They are easy to find because of the noise that they make. This feller was very amenable and allowed me to get up close. Later in the afternoon I was not so lucky as I was charged by a totally different male who had just been rebuffed by one of his harem. As he headed towards me I yelled “Stop, go away!” at the top of my voice. Luckily he stopped but then I fell over, was able to get up then I walked away as quickly as I could feeling pretty shaken up.
