Ah, yes...Andy Goldsworthy does come to mind. Check out "Rivers and Tides." A documentary well worth seeing. nice work.

Very nice image. I suggest, however, that it would have been even better had you arranged the arrow to point in the direction of the change of fall colors, that is, from green to red, as opposed to having it flow backwards.

@Leigh Paris that was my original intent because it was the most logical way to do it, that's why I ended up doing the exact opposite.

@Bruce Kennedy I took about 30 shots of the scene in many different angles and compositions and at the end this is the one that stood out from the lot.
We collected the leaves while walking in the woods and then it took me about 25 minutes to set them down and arrange the ground around the arrow and probably 30 minutes actually shooting it.

@killapuppet Aside from a little contrast boost and post crop vignetting, the photo is straight from the camera.
